The rules for using VSwap to swap crypto. They’re written to be read, so please do.
01The service
VSwap lets you swap one cryptocurrency for another. You choose a pair, give us the address to receive your coins, and send your coins to a one-time deposit address. Once your deposit is confirmed, the swap is carried out and the coins are sent to the address you gave.
VSwap is non-custodial. We don’t hold balances or accounts for you, and coins pass through only for as long as the swap takes. Swaps may be carried out by third-party liquidity providers working with us.
02Who can use VSwap
To use VSwap you must:
- be at least 18 years old;
- be allowed to use services like this where you live;
- only send coins that you own and have the right to swap.
You can’t use VSwap if you’re in a country or region under sanctions that cover these services, or if you’re on a sanctions list.
03Rates and fees
Floating rate. The amount you receive is worked out from the market rate at the moment your deposit is confirmed. The amount shown when you create the exchange is an estimate and can go up or down.
Fixed rate. The amount you receive is locked for 15 minutes after you create the exchange. If your deposit arrives within that time and matches the amount you said you’d send, you receive exactly the amount shown.
Our service fee and the network fee for sending your coins are included in the amount shown. We don’t add anything on top.
04Limits
Each exchange must be worth at least about $15 and no more than $50,000, based on the market price when you create it. Deposits outside these limits may be refunded, minus network fees.
05Getting the details right
Blockchain transactions can’t be reversed. It’s your job to check that:
- the address you give is correct and on the network shown;
- you include a memo or destination tag where one is needed;
- you send the coin, network and amount the exchange was created for.
We can’t recover coins sent to a wrong address, on the wrong network, or without a required memo. Where it’s technically possible to help, we’ll try, but we can’t promise to.
06Expired rates and refunds
If a fixed rate runs out before your deposit arrives, or the amount you send is different from the one agreed, you can choose to carry on at the current floating rate or have your coins returned.
Refunds go to the refund address you gave, or to one you give us later. They are sent in the coin you deposited, minus the network fee for sending them back.
07Security checks
To keep the service safe and meet our legal duties, we may pause an exchange and ask for more information if a transaction looks linked to fraud, theft, sanctions or money laundering. If you don’t provide it, or the checks fail, we may refund the coins to their source or hold them where the law requires.
You agree not to use VSwap for anything illegal, including laundering money, financing terrorism, or moving stolen funds.
08Our responsibility
Crypto prices move quickly and networks can be slow or congested. We aren’t responsible for losses caused by market movements, network delays, or problems with third-party wallets and exchanges.
Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that can’t be limited by law. Otherwise, our total responsibility for any exchange is limited to the value of that exchange.
09Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown when you create an exchange is the one that applies to it. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
10Privacy
